Battle of the batting line ups. If we play Bishoo well I rate our chances. We could go horses for courses and open with Root, get rid of Hales and put Vince at 3. We absolutely won't but it might be a match winning gamble.

So the two teams with specialist captains have made the final, must be where all the other teams were going wrong

In the beginning, I said I would buy lunch for the office if either Eng or WI won the event and it looks like everyone will be eating for free on Monday. Happy to do so as either of these teams winning would be fantastic.

It is weird though as an Englishman in Trinidad. I have netted with guys like Badree and Bravo and they are really nice guys whereas I no longer personally know any of the England team. My heart wants England to win but I know a lot of players and administrators here who would be thrilled with a WI win and I would not begrudge them that.

Saying that, I would not be so generous if it was the serious business of a Test series.

Interestingly both these teams havent played at this venue in this tourney yet.

England have only played at 2 venues which generally were good batting tracks whereas West Indies have already played a couple of games at slow, turning pitches.

I think you can expect the pitch to be something similar to NZ-BD game.

Only one of England's has been a good batting track. One they played Afghan on was not at all.

Reckon the semi was played on a 175+ wicket. Most people thought 150 was very chaseable, and they got it comfortably.

Yeah I meant two of England's. Wouldn't say either Sri Lanka or Afghan were great batting tracks. Semi final was a good pitch but also spun a bit.

Been quite windy since morning. Drizzled a bit last two days as well. Let's see if rain is a factor.

Not Terrible
Would have been difficult coming up with a final I'd be less interested in. Both good enough in the format not to be plucky underdogs, not a fan of either team in the conventional sense, and neither team is a "bad guy" either.
