Terrible end to the series for Joe Root. Did well to even get back on the park at all. Hope he’s fully fit come the ODIs.

Well played Ozzies, Steven Smith is 21st century Bradman, this guy makes batting look like playing with an Xbox controller, scores runs for fun.

Root seems to have tummy problem which led to dehydration, could be something wrong with food served to him.

I think the tests came back and he was lacking in electrolytes, chick peas and kale.

All Aus wickets taken by NSW, just as in the India series.

Last 12 Tests: 195 from NSW, 8 from the rest.

NSW to be given Test status imo #secession

There are plenty of ways to quantitatively incorporate humidity into temperature readings tbf. "Feels like", humidex etc.

But yeah, whilst obviously 40c+ is extreme, it's actually pretty manageable so long as you wear a big hat and take in a lot of fluid. Certainly I've seen days which have taken a much more drastic physical toll on the players than yesterday, and usually that's because it's both hot and humid, even if not as scorching as that.

Dry 40 is more bearable than humid 30 though.
So true! A lot of international cricketers when they come for the IPL talk extensively about Chennai heat, whereas the reality is that Adelaide and Perth are way more hotter than Chennai. The torture of playing in Chennai is more due to extreme humidity than heat.
