Love how the comms were talking about Paine maybe telling Zampa to keep the bat low and get a single and then he plays that shot.

He's barely even bowling. These are just dead overs at the moment. Would have been batter off with Root.

Jake Ball is losing this for England. Root would have been better bowling himself, as Paine needs the pace to score behind the stumps.

Root can't bowl himself as Morgan is captain.

I agree Root should have bowled and Ball has been as much use on this tour as Finn was last time.

Tbf, if Root grabbed the ball went to the crease I doubt Morgan would say ****. Root's got his own injury concern too hasn't he

Jeez Curran has bowled well this match. Skiddy, pitched up, swinging pace has been rather lacking recently with our height and short of a length obsession.

5-4 then. Leaves the t20 series nicely poised. Feels right that the Ashes should be decided in that format.

That was a pretty good ODI series; certainly more entertainment value than the Ashes.

Reckon that’s Australia’s most disappointing loss of the series as that was a very gettable target and Oz looked good things at certain stages. But when neither Smith or Warner reach 50 once in the series you’re probably doing well to lose 4-1.

Are England playing ODIs in their upcoming NZ tour? That would be good to watch.
