Something about that troubles me. I mean I like the idea, but most of the times the batsmen and bowlers wont be in the same form as the day before,IMO.

Think Sri Lanka, think convection storms.
Even in England in September, you could conceivably have thunder showers breaking out at the same time on two consecutive days - if that's around 2.00 pm, you're in trouble,
