Honestly True Detective is a terrible show, the first season was hugely watchable because of the two main leads, but really that was it, oh and a decent bit of soft-porn , but the plotting was average at best.

Yet hey I'd watch the first series again because of the chemistry of those two, but wouldn't watch any of the rest of it unless you paid me.

I'd go a bit further on the first season and say it was genuinely good. I think even with different/worse leads I would've liked it. It's been garbage since then though.

I didn't finish either season so my opinion is worthless but I still agree. I've thought about maybe finishing Season 3 a couple of times lately but I can't remember where I was up to exactly so I'd have to start again, and **** that.

No interest in finishing Season 2 even though I watched most of it.

Yeah **** season 2. I'm actually angry I finished it. Season 3 was pretty good while not being nearly as good as s1. It helps that I love the lead actor.

Never liked it. The philosophy was way out of place even in s1

Have to agree with Grecian, I think the acting carried the first season. Maybe I'm not woke enough but I thought the ending was garbage.

The ending was meh. The journey was great though.

The ending was shite and it made the journey feel like a waste of time imo.
