The Fardingham Cockatoos team would like to invite the captains of other Franchises to a pre-tournament Charity BarStar tournament to be held at the Fardingham home ground.

If you'd like to take part, please provide the following information:

Pint Pouring:
Cocktail Shaking:
Small Talking:
Bar Cleaning:
Atmosphere Ambiencing:

The maximum number of bar points per category is 5. The minimum is 0.

The success of each post match bar man will then be determined using Bar Simulator BarStar (D).

The highest scorer will end up with the Cobalt Cockatoo Trophy.

For the record, my stats are:

Pint Pouring: 3
Cocktail Shaking: 4
Small Talking: 3
Bar Cleaning: 0
Atmosphere Ambiencing: 0

An example output of the BarStar (D) engine can be found here:

Remember, its all for Charidy, mate and:

Happy Pouring!

Sorry - maximum of 10 points per player. Should have said that.

And Jamee, the local council has given special dispensation for you to take part, as its for charidy. As long as no one buys the barman a drink ;)

Does it have to be the captain who puts the stats in or can anyone from the team? If anyone i will do mine shortly.

Never actually considered the captaincy ruling. Sadly, I don't take the time to read opening posts (or full titles) of threads about pint pouring.

So, we've got a player from each team. Sad that the team captains for the "most sociable team on the planet" a.k.a. Upper Body couldn't make it, and that Xavier Rose of the Touristas was too busy doing something else to take part.

The competitors:

H. Davis (Fardingham)
L. Camps (Upper Body)
J. Gray (Mathemagicians)
K. Gough (Rabid Wolves)
G. Thomas (Ninjas)
K. Clapham (Diamond Dazzlers)
M. Reddlapalli (Touristas)

and representing the Masters XI

D. Boon (Looking after the bar during Masters Games)

THE DRAW

Two divisions. All competitors in each division play each other. Top two in each division go through to semi finals.

DIVISION ONE:

L. Camps
K. Gough
J. Gray
M. Reddlapalli

DIVISION TWO:

K. Clapham
H. Davis
D. Boon
G. Thomas

A tough draw for those in Division Two, but the honour of serving alongside David Boon is sure to drive up the performance standard.

Boon has been installed as the bookies favourite early doors, with Liam Camps expected to ease through Division One.

Edgy first round of fixtures gives two narrow victories

The first round of BarStar fixtures presented two tense, low scoring affairs.

The match between Camps and Gough set a new record for the lowest combined score in a BarStar tournament with neither player breaking the 200 point barrier.

For Gough, the day was a mixture of disappointment and enjoyment as he became the first person to score ZERO pints poured successfully, spilling 41 in the process of serving them to customers! However, he successfully concentrated on customer satisfaction in other areas by providing the most laughs heard in a CWLand bar for many a year. His greatest disappointment will remain the fact that after the competition finished, he stayed at the bar to follow the subsequent fixture and didn't get back to his hotel room until 7am. The latest news is that the Wife was not best pleased.

Gray and Reddlapalli provided another close encounter, with the under-age Gray providing little evidence of his lack of bar experience. Gray provided the most successful display of Cocktail shaking since a Beach Boys reinactment of the film, Weekend at Bernie's, rattling off nearly 200 cocktails whilst spilling only 13. Sadly for Gray, he lacked the experience to benefit from the Laideez, whilst Reddlapalli neglected bar service to see if he could get himself a date for the CW 20:20 Black tie ball, scheduled for the day of the finals. Reddlapalli will have some difficulty deciding which one of the harem to take, given the unprecidented success that he displayed in this area.
