For discussion and arguments over best innings, bowling performance etc. I'd include best match as a category, but after yesterday there may not be much contention over this, though Eng vs SL and NZ vs India were also crackers

Best innings : Carlos Braithwaite vs NZ
Best bowling spell : Malinga vs England for saving the group stage from boredom
Best single game performance : Jadeja 1-34 in 10 overs, 77(59), 2 catches, 1 direct hit runout
Worst innings: Dhoni vs England
Worst spell (or rather worst over) : Gulbadin vs Pakistan
Best catch: Stokes vs sa
2nd best match of the tournament : Ind vs NZ semifinal

I've excluded everything that happened in the final on principle. It belongs in a different plane altogether.

Not Terrible
Worst Innings has to be Colin de Grandhomme vs. England in the final. It was hilariously poor. It wasn't 16 (28) of a building innings, after the first 6 or so balls he was trying to smash boundaries, he just couldn't find any semblance of timing. Every single run was off of a new and interesting edge of the bat. We'd probably give it more grief if he didn't bowl his absolute socks off in the second innings to make up for it.

Cottrell's(?) catch of Smith trumps Stokes' catch pretty easily for mine. Crazy stuff.

Best fielding: Roy's throw to Buttler for the World Cup winning wicket. Especially considering the pressure he was under and he'd fumbled one just minutes earlier.

Best shot: Roy's massive straight drive for SIX v Crimbaby Smith in the semi-final. Epic and hilarious!!

Best fielding was Guptill nailing the direct hit to run out Dhoni in the semi IMO. Skillful and important.

Starc's yorker to Stokes was one for the ages. Most memorable moment in the world cup besides all that happened in the final

Yeah **** that was clutch.

When he went out to bat in the super over, I really hoped he’d have bombed a couple to make up for an ordinary tourney. But that run out was as good as it gets in that scenario.
