I was looking over oscar nominated songs, and I really liked "Hands that built America" by U2 (I think) from the movie Gangs of New York :)

Coldplay - Clocks. It's become more of an addiction now!
Ok Go - Get Over It. In the words of Rich "A totally lush tune".

Hmm... haven't listened to it this week, but in context it's gotta be Mother by James. It was written as a protest song in the 91 Gulf War I...

The Title comes from Saddam's description of it as the "Mother of all Wars".

This war's a mother****er
How many sons will we kill today
On fours little brother
Tell me what the view's like from the ground

Your love is a killer
Killing all this love in me
We are so full of terror
Vicious kiss your love is longing deep

Love, love, love will strike you down
Love, love

Where the anger is hot
Where opinion is deep
Understanding is shot
He's dead, he's dead, he's dead

Where the living is cheap
Where the weapons are not
All the mothers will weep is dead is dead is dead

Will strike you down
Love, love, love will strike you down
Love, love

We're drawn to a torture
I can't take it anymore
On fours little mother
Tell me what the view's like from the ground

Love, love, love will strike you down
Love, love, love will strike us down

They just make lyrically and musically good music. Another band who I love is Goo Goo Dolls. They're lyrics are awesome.

"Army" - Ben Fold Five....you might recognise it from the BBC advert for the Six Nations coverage. A recommendation for all :) Also Oasis with "Magic Pie"
