For those keeping score, after about 6 hours of painting yesterday and 2 hours today, I have finally finished the first coat on the windows.

Just need to fill all the nail holes and then do 2-3 coats of top coat and I'll be done. Sigh.

I ****ing hate painting windows.

Never watched it, but as Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads was a sitcom from the early 1970s, I suspect the rip off was on How I Met Your mother's part.

Oil based paint fumes are a heady concoction, that's for sure. Plus, you can't get rid of the odour for weeks after. You may be onto something.

For those following at home, the Easter break plus today has ensured that the window painting saga is now over. All windows painted just in time for the coming winter. I think all up it must have taken me 7 or 8 working days. Ghastly.
