Just seen there's no Broad which is a pity.

Finn and Topley being in the same attack is okay but might be a fielding problem.

Just seen that we're not going to have to play Holland this time. So hopefully we can avoid them in the semis and we should be okay.

Ravi Bopara anyone? Scored 71 not out from 43 balls today in the pakistani super league and then followed it up with 6-16 from his 4 overs...

I'm assuming the deadline for finalising squads hasn't yet passed then or there's no reason to allow a Narine replacement is there?

I hope England go with:

Moeen Ali
Hales
Root
Stokes
Morgan
Buttler
Billings
Rashid
Willey
Finn
Topley

I think Stokes needs to bat higher - particularly in Indian conditions. He has the ability and mindset to bat through, but not the brain to bat lower down the order. Morgan and Buttler need to shore up the lower middle order so there are no more collapses. They can adapt to that role. Billings is almost a specialist fielder.

I think in the longer term Root should look to open. You need your highest calibre players in first.

WIlley will not open. Against International standard bowling he would be a sitting duck at the top of the order.

He must be also wondering why. Says he is keeping fit in case there is an injury.
Would it be wrong to wish a twisted ankle on someone?

I mean he was part of the WC winning side can perform at this level, does field okay and in general is our best bowler ATM. Seems a bit bizarre to ignore him over all these Scrubs (and I mean that respectfully to the losers).

I don't think Broad is a good white ball bowler at all. Sends down the same hittable length rubbish he has for years.
