Why can't Aussies play T 20 cricket?

Forget the Ashes, the World Cup (ODI) for a moment....let's confront the T20 conundrum....

Your boys ain't big enough for T20.....That's a simple fact.

Let's discuss

Strange that you'd frame it as "our" boys and make the nationality of posters involved in the debate to be a salient point, when England hasn't exactly has much T20 success as of late. Especially not against Australia.

FTR, the Australian limited overs bowling was pretty mediocre in that tournament. Most of the quicks we have are geared more towards Test cricket (thankfully) - the likes of Siddle and Pattinson, in particular, are not set up for limited overs cricket.

Starc-Johnson-Faulkner-Watson would be a decent enough T20 pace line-up, assuming all are in some semblance of form at the time. Lack of good spin options was a big issue as well.

More like...9 spinners in the T20 top 10.....Aussies are Fast Track Bullies. Cannot handle spin..so can't win anything in this format.

Guys like Watto and the crew sh.t bricks when they see pace off the ball !!!!

Think that Australia after having had a brilliant few months ran out of steam with a few players ending up losing form or getting injured and the replacements aren't of the same calibre as the players in the longer formats. No disgrace in that. They might be bothered had they lost the ashes and in SA but in November I am sure Lehmann would have had the T20 WC as the lowest priority for them in the coming months.

Sour grapes?
