Yeah, indeed. I think longer-term he'll be okay so long as he gets his head down and scores buckets, which to be honest was always his natural comfort zone. But it's still far from clear that Warner will play a game for Australia again.
Nah. It's clear that he won't.

The cover up is worse than the crime. The hefty ban means that if more comes out in a few weeks time, then the ban will still seem sufficient enough. It might say to how little CA can trust what the three members have said, having already admitted to lying/dressing up the truth at one stage so far.

I mean, it's hard to make any definitive claims about 2-3 years into the future, but you can't see it happening. I still think Smith will be in the Ashes side, for example, and that seems impossible for Warner. Warner's age counts against him too, they could well decide that Renshaw + A N Other is the way to go long-term.

"They are liars and cheats and don't play cricket the Australian way. We must remove them from the national team immediately."

"We're also going to give them 100 hours to influence the next generation of cricketers"

Okaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.

Also, players banned in order to protect the integrity of Australian cricket, but made to do service with future cricketers. Cricket Australia logic, ladies and gentlemen, Cricket Australia logic.

CA probably wants them to teach the next gen how not to get caught "cross the line"

In that context, "voluntary" simply means "unpaid"

All I see is a bunch of idiots grabbing some limelight at the cost of these hard-working cricketers. Yes they did make a mistake, but it was nowhere as big as people are making it look.
