Apparently Pakistan and India have more potential world class young bowlers than the entire world put together if you believe all the reports that seem to come out at about one per weekimranrabb said:

The report doesn't say that he is the next Glen, just that his action is similar to Glen. The guy performed well at domestic level and since Umar gul is down with injury, Rao is included in 16 man line up.
He won't even get a chance to play for Pak. Akhter,Sami & Shabbir will probably be in the playing 11.

Let's just wait until any bowler talked-up as the next big thing for their country starts playing top-level cricket, then think about whether they're going to be anything in particular.

1 in a million perhaps. Bowling is more than just an action. You need skill for one, mental strength another and of course good sense. Very few bowlers have all of these put together, whist many can copy a bowling action.Armadillo said:

just because his bowling action resembles glenn mcgrath doesnt mean he should get so much hype. its not just abt the action....does he bowl with the same pin point accuracy?, is he as tall as mcgrath? does he bowl with decent pace?

How many seasons has he been the leading wicket-taker for? If the answer is one, I wouldn't get excited.

McGrath's action isn't even a copybook one. It just happens that he's extremely accurate. Just bowling with his action won't mean you get his accuracy.Mr Mxyzptlk said:
