Got a new iPad (can't use it until next week I'm told).

Anyways, does anyone have one that uses it as a laptop? Need advice re: keyboards. Do they typically lag? Is it better to get a wired one? Can you get the office suite on iPads? etc etc.

I have been suggesting I'd like one. There is something under our Xmas tree that looks very similar in size and shape to iPod packaging. My wife will give nothing away.

That's a pretty decent option, that. Bluetooth is the standard for wireless stuff like keyboards, mice, etc.

If it lags it won't be because it's wireless.

No lag, and no docking, but if you get a cover you can always sit it on that. Or put the ipad on the other side of the room and try to work out what the **** you've just typed.
