Law. Thought about going into it for a while, but then realized I would rather enjoy having a soul. I have a friend who works at one of the top law firms in US. Makes around $300,000 but works 16 hours a day, and spends all his time creating paperwork. No thanks :p.

good way to use a law degree apparently is to join the police, after doing 2 years on the beat apparently is fast track right up to the higher positions, certainly something i'm keeping at the back of my mind.

Something i'm considering too, apparently politics is a good one to have n all. Nothing epitimizes a pollice spokesman than a smarmy silver tongued liar.

However, need to lose weight and be in shape for the physical exam. Taken me 18 months of 'I'll start tomorrow' so far.

I like this thread to highlight laywers. A clever ploy to get everyone that should be on the ignore list in one place. :p

I graduated from Law School- with Honours.

I'm not a practicing lawyer though.

I work for an accounting firm specialising in tax, and write for a national tax magazine which we have the contract for.

Have finished my law degree but have to go back this semester to do one English paper so I can graduate with a Law/Arts conjoint.

Pretty much dreading the rest of my life.

HJ - as a tax specialist you can answer this for me.

If James paid the staff here a dollar a year, could we claim our foxtel subscriptions as a deduction, given we need it to look at games overseas, domestic comps, etc?

Please answer yes for me.

yeah you could claim the expenditure for the sports channels perhaps, however you may have some difficulty getting the cost of those adult channels over the line...
