One Day Tour Match Wellington vs Cricketweb XI
@ Wellington

Cricketweb XI produced a lacklustre performance as they slumped to a bad loss against Wellington today. Wellington captain Matthew Bell won the toss and sent the tourists into bat on what was a difficult looking pitch, the Cricketweb XI side was somewhat different to that who won the test series 3-0.

Returning from international retirement Liam Camps opened up the innings with James Stedman but both struggled as wickets fell at regular intervals, with no batsman passing 30 in the all out total of 167, Sean Fuller held the middle order together with a patient 29 not out while Chris Butler also made 29 after his promotion to number three in the order. Franklin, Bowden, Patel and McKay all took two wickets each for Wellington in what was an impressive bowling performance.

Wellington eventually made thew runs required but not without a scare, lead by Sean Fuller who took three wickets, the home side were 62/4 but an unbeaten 106 run stand between Neal Parlane (76) and Grant Elliott (50) got them home with over five overs to spare. Disappointingly for the visitors apart from Fuller none of the bowlers showed any penetration at all, Kevin Gough bowled a steady ten overs while Neil Pickup again looked like he was in good form.

Wellington 168/4 (44.3 overs)
NR Parlane 76*(136), GD Elliott 50*(52), SE Fuller 3/27 (8)

Cricketweb XI 167 (31.4 overs)
SE Fuller 29*(42), CR Butler 29(23), DJ Bowden 2/17(6), JS Patel 2/22 (6.4)

Wellington won by 6 wickets
Man of the Match: NS Parlane (Wellington)

Great job on the series sweep, guys!!! Expect better stuff in ODIs.. NZ a lot stronger in limited overs cricket... Needs a bigger effort than even the tests, methinks.

T20 International vs New Zealand
@ Wellington

Cricketweb XI suffered their second straight loss of the tour after going down to an impressive New Zealand outfit in their T20 international in Wellington. Sean Fuller and James Stedman impressed early after Neil Pickup had won the toss, the pair put on 64 for the first wicket, however the pair as well as Andrew Cloete fell in the space of 12 runs to give the uperhand to the Kiwis. The Webheads slumped further and were in all sorts of trouble at 88/5 howeever Rob Dauth and international debutaunt Martyn Corrin put together a 64 run stand unbeaten to set up a total of 152/5 from their 20 overs. Daryl Tuffey and Grant Elliott contributed a couple of wickets each.

The home sides reply was steady and calculated, as it was only a modest total to chance down they could pace themselves easily enough. Brendon McCullum at the top of the order smashed his way to 67 off 34 balls while the rest of the order batted around him, Kane Williamson making his debut hit 40 not out and was well supported by captain Daniel Vettori at the end of the innings who was left on 18. Liam Camps was the pick of the bowlers with 2/14 while skipper Neil Pickup also took 2 wickets in an economical spell of three overs.

Cricketweb XI 152/5 (20)
JE Stedman 39(26), M Corrin 36*(25), GD Elliott 2/20, DR Tuffey 2/29

New Zealand 154/6 (19.3)
BB McCullum 67(34), KS Williamson 40(35), NS Pickup 2/11, LA Camps 2/14

New Zealand won by 4 wickets
Man of the Match: BB McCullum
