The Three Teams You Will Support In This WC

Well, I would be rooting for -

India - I am an Indian and every win for this team makes my day....and every loss makes me miserable.

WI - As a teenager I have seen the flamboyance and flair of the Calypso kings in the eighties and so cricket for me without a strong WI, simply isn't cricket the way I knew it.

Any team that plays Aus - These guys are tough rivals and any match in which they are beaten is gonna be a cracker.... I will put my lot with anybody that plays them.

I'll support the following teams -

1) India - I live in India, I am an Indian and I love India.
2) Any team that plays against Australia.
3) Any team that plays against South Africa.

You can easily guess the reasons for last two choices.

Australia

and two teams which should have been included but for an oversight, I'm sure, are just waiting for England & NZ to pull out and take their place on the world stage"

Australia A (Look what they did to Sri Lankan in 3 minutes)

NSW Speed Blitz Blues - who would be very competitive with the Waughs, Clarke, Katich, Haddin, Richards, McGill etc.

Lendl was Czech?
true but he's referring to Lendl's record at Wimbledon - made the finals several times which is an achievement in itself for a clay court specialist, yet could never post a win there - really messed up his head in his latter years and became an obsession for him to the extent of changing coaches and building a grass court at his home to practise / train on.....

it's probably the contributing factor as to why Lendle will not be listed amongst the greats of his era, yet he was the only player to consistantly be able to give super brat a run for his money!!!!

Australia - Because I am an Australian
West Indies- Because I like them and just dont know why.
India- because they are a good team to watch.

I also like England, Zimbabwe & Kenya.

Ohh and dispite the fact I like India I am ashamed to say I dont want them to do all that well because every time they do about 500 moronic Indian supporters join the forum and rant on about how good there team is only to magicly disapear when they start losing again.

Reminds me of Goran ?

Okay We agree that no one likes each others selections so we've resorted to comparing teams to Tennis players. Why not player to player?:

Ranatunga = Illie Nastase (I know he ain't playin anymore & neither is the Fat guy from Sri Lanka)
Brian Lara = Arthur Ashe all class
Vaughan = Tim Henman Gets to the Final but never quite wins it.
Flower Bros = The Black Bros (obvious - Byron and whatever his name is)
Gillespie = Goran - its a whirling dervish thing
Muralie = The Scud (Phillapousis for those tennisly challenged)- who knows where it will land
Warne = Agassi before he (Agassi) became a decent guy
Gilchrist = Ken Rosewall - 'cos of his ears
Ponting does not equal Hewitt 'cos Hewitt is great & Ponting is a weaklink
Ok Merv Hughes = Newcombe - too obvious

Steve Waugh = Rod Laver They are simply the greatest

Ian Billcliff was born in Canada, but has lived most of his life in NZ & still plays club cricket in Auckland I think.

Indeed he does, and his father teaches our very own Lord of Darkness.

However, Rusedski is similarly born there, and if he carries on playing like he is currently, he can go back there!
