Palace not making life easy for themselves, with our Adebayor and Wickham missing relatively easy chances to take all three points and virtually guarantee safety.
Cue more mutterings from the locals about Pardew's lack of judgement when offloading Murray and missing out on Charlie Austin because he preferred Wickham and Adebayor.

You should be right, but we've been so poor during 2106 that you could see us finishing with the 38 points that we have at present, and hoping that enough of the others in the bottom four don't manage a few wins.

A lot of the pessimism goes back to 1993 when the players famously did a lap of honour after winning their last home match but still got relegated when Oldham won their games in hand and overtook us on the last day of the season. We have found some odd ways to be relegated over the years.
