what did you think, mr. smartar$£?Richard said:Well, there were some interesting predictions here!
West Indies will beat England in the final? Don't be silly! Not a chance! No way! Never!
Richard is careful never to predict, but then just says he thought that after the event.steds said:what did you think, mr. smartar$£?
I left it to "I'm hoping for an England-South Africa final, with England winning in the way West Indies won".steds said:what did you think, mr. smartar$£?

Hopes do fine for me - cricket is too unpredictable to predict.
Richard said:South Africa... here's hoping, anyway.
England certainly don't deserve to win it and if they were to it would do far more harm than good for the long-term IMO, because it would not merely paper over cracks but board them up.
Except this was made after considering recent performances and the odds available.Richard said:All controversial tips will prevail in the end - if you keep making them.
Well, all right, I was only joking about the post in this thread.Neil Pickup said:

The batting...Richard said:Regardless of South Africa's horrible form as a team, the fact remains that they are infinately stronger man-for-man than West Indies
As far as the ODI-game is concerned, Klusener is still very much superior. I do believe Bravo will come quite close as his career pans-out. In the Test-game, I'd say Bravo is already well on the way to being better than Klusener has been at any time from his 1998 ankle-injury onwards - yes, after just one series.Bravo = Klusener
It was in reference purely to batting. You'd admit that Klusener's batting is not anywhere near what it used to be? In his last 19 matches he's failed to cross 50 and has crossed 15 just 3 times. That's 13 innings. Take away the not outs and in 9 innings he's crossed 15 twice.Richard said:As far as the ODI-game is concerned, Klusener is still very much superior. Richard said:I wouldn't have been too unhappy had England been beaten by Sri Lanka.
Which makes my picking it all the better then...Richard said:IMO it was a long-shot.
As shown by their fantastic run of recent resultsRichard said:True, you have some good players - but personally I'd say SA are much stronger.
