Lara, Ambrose, Tendulkar, Donald, Pollock - many of those great cricketers that never won it. Blame it on Australia for not letting anyone else lay their hand on it.

In contrast most of great cricketers of 80's had at least one world cup victory. All of the great WIndies, Gavaskar, Kapil, Border, Imran etct. Only Hadlee and Botham missed out.

Nor did Waqar nor Saeed Anwar. According to Waqar it was his greatest cricketing career regret to have not been part of the 92 WC squad. Sangakkara and Jayawardena have note won it yet either
