Do you prefer your dim sims to be steamed or fried?

Fried gives the makers more margin for error, IMO. And, if eating on the go, removes the chances that the skin sticks to the paper bag, removing the main reason for eating a steamed dim sim.

But if at a place of repute, then always steamed.

A fish and chip shop near me used to batter steamed dim sims then fry them.

Brilliant.

Had to Google them to find out what they were.

Fair to say they've never made a proper dent in the UK market.

Oh and steamed obviously. Goes better with the soy sauce, which is what the dim sim is all about.

Kinda stunned there's an apparent saturation point (so to speak) for types of deep-fried food in the UK.

Ind33d. Waiting for the inevitable "do you like your Mars Bars deep-fried or stuck in a giant serving of mashed potato" poll question from BoyBrumby.
