Neil McKenzie's/Duminy's fate

You couldn't possibly defy Duminy a place after that innings though could you? Why change a winning forumla I say! Prince averages 30.33 against Australia in 9 Tests, just because your the vice-captain shouldn't mean you are a guaranteed selection.

Either way I find it hard to believe that South Africa would want to disrupt a positive top 4 so far in the series by replacing McKenzie who like you said had done really well coming into the side as an opener. If you look at McKenzie's averages he has generally played well on spinning wickets as well (notably India).

Hence I'm also interested to see what the SCG pitch looks like despite myself probably being possibly the biggest anti-fan of Robin Peterson who is just a joke of a spinner...
I like what you wrote. And I do agree...Petersen is a no go on any wicket and on form, class and ability he wouldn't be in any national team I guess...or county for that matter. I hope the selectors will not be forced to select him - especially should SA win the 2nd test.

Is he considered 'coloured'? What is his ethnicity?
Duminy is a Cape Coloured.

Regarding de Villliers taking Boucher's place, he recently said (SA Cricket Magazine Jan-Feb 2009) that he'd like to bat at five and eventually at four. He also said that he thinks keeping would affect his batting and "If it keeps me in the team, I may have to consider it. Hopefully I won't be under that kind of pressure and will be included on my batting form."

Leave the team the way it is now. No need to bring Prince back in, Duminy deserves to be part of the 3rd Test.

Also dropping Mckenzie is a no go. FFS a guy who has been in fine form doesnt score for 3 innings does not just get dropped.

NO NO on Prince coming back in.

I wish they'd dropped Prince before the England series :)
