The top order started in tremendous fashion taking McGrath and Lee for 7 an over and Gillespie for just 10 per. The the spin came in and inspired a collapse in the middle order, which McGrath maximized on with his return. The bowling was solid, but was 222 was never going to be enough to defend. Master Blaster got hit for 33 runs from his first 4 overs, but bounced back nicely after that, taking a wicket in the process.

A glorious innings from Blewy in the middle order following up some great batting at the top by Bugssy. Blewy dominated completely in overtaking his own score (121) for the new highest ODI score by an CW XI batsman. He also joins Rich as the only two players in the team with at least 2 ODI centuries. On the bowling end Mr Ponting and Master Blaster were a bit disappointing admittedly on a flat wicket and fast outfield.

More effective stuff from Neil and a nice little spell from Bugssy with his nippy fast medium.

A truly commendable performance by Blewy (135) and Buggsy (81 and 3/33) and a good all-round performance by the team.
