Disappointed not to be chosen in the Test and OD touring teams to be honest...guess I'll just have try to re-adjust at a lower level in the club comp.

Looking forward to the new season, hopefully I can find some form in the friendlies for the season ahead.

Yeh should be good, we have the least ammount of players as far as activity goes so I'd imagine those that make themselves known and heard in the relevant places will get good game time.

Team has been named for our first FC friendly. Have gone for our usual top 5, with Wilson at 6 as I'm thinking about bumping him up to that position for the season. Crockett gets a gig at 7 and I'll be putting him the order in the next friendly. JC Wilson gets a bowling gig while Bochat gets a go, hopefully he can impress as I'd like to play him more this season.

Wilson (M) at 6 is a good move imo, potentially allows us to play two spinners with Deane and Weber and still also play three quicks with Wright, Thomas and possibly also Wilson (J). That would give us more bowling options than any team just about.
Also with a middle order of 6 Wilson 7 Deane 8 Weber would make up for our lack of top order batsmen.

Second team has been named, and is as follows:

1. DK Rai
2. UA Aslam
3. HGT Crockett
4. CR Butler
5. YA Fjermestad+
6. MW Wilson
7. MJ Deane
8. KO Aditya
9. JC Wilson
10. KS Wright
11. T Bochat

Dan Rai needs a bit more time at the crease before the season starts, and Butler seemed like he had a bit of a struggle in his first dig so another go for our premier batsman to get his eye in before the season starts.
UA Aslam is one of few defensive batsmen in our squad it would seem, so I'd like to see how he goes in the opening spot as we don't really have too many back up options to face the new ball.
Crockett only got one bat in our first friendly so he should get a good chance at 3. Fjermestad gets a run at 5, see how he plays further up the order than usual. Mike will just play as a specialist bat at 6 as we know he can perform with the ball, so this will give him time to concentrate on adjusting to that role as he'll be able to influence our innings a bit more.
MJ Deane slots in at 7, hinting towards the idea he'll start there in the season proper, as a batting all-rounder. Haven't quite got a plan for Aditya, but he could become the all-rounder to replace Wilson should he become injured or when he is on Test duties. Will open the bowling with JC Wilson.

Yeah we might be able to get a better lower order balance than we had last season. Mike is a genuine all-rounder and batting at 6 I hope he'll be able continue his excellent batting; shouldn't think he'll struggle being bumped up 1 spot. 8 is too low for him and sometimes at 7 he just doesn't get enough time to turn around a bad innings from us, or really pile on the runs and pressure. 6 should see him have a bigger effect on the match.

Our top-middle order is as solid as anyones. Fitzsimmons-Towns-Butler-Kerr seems to be a great combination for us, and last season they averaged 45, 46, 45 and 62 respectively. Dan Rai will probably be the one under most scrutiny early on this season as he looks to dispell any question marks over his batting in the opening slots. The potential lower order of Wilson-Deane-Weber looks competent as well, should our top order get routed.
That would also allow us to play 3 quicks, as Simon said, giving us more firepower without sacrificing too much batting, and if our batting does have a problem it won't be too hard making the adjustment to one less bowler for an extra batsmen.

Awesome, cheers for the opportunity. Hopefully I'll go alright and contribute towards a win :)
Always nice to start the season with a bit of form.

Question marks about my batting aside, without me at the top of the order the team is significantly less attractive, loss of revenue from lack of female fans will cripple the club imho.

We're contemplating making you a professional 12th man, with a skin-tight slightly see through bodysuit as your uniform.

Pretty good performance in our second FC friendly match, I think we can expect to be right in there this season, we have good versatility in our team and I believe we have the quality to match it with the better sides. Finishing top two is a realistic expectation I feel.

Looking forward to the one dayers but I do think we might be a bit weaker there, finishing third would be a pretty good effort for us.

Yeah our OD side is definitely the weaker side when you look at the depth. We should be competitive but not entirely dominating.

I'm getting smashed in the OD games which certainly doesn't help matters much  What are the rules regarding bowling underarm in these simulations?

They're available only to the **** captains in the League.

That's the C word FTR so it's available to Blue, Colts, Green and Black.
