Some milestones due in 4th Test

Hazlewood - 1 wkt for 50 Ashes wkts
Smith - 96 runs for 2500 Ashes runs
Khawaja - 113 runs for 3000 Test runs
Cummins - 10 wkts for 50 Ashes wkts

Only 3 men have scored 4 centuries in an Ashes series, can Smith join them?

Hammond 1924-25 (in Australia)
Sutcliffe 1928-29 (in Australia)
Bradman 1930 (in England - the 974 run series)

Also overall, only 4 Aussie batsmen have ever scored 4 centuries in a series

Bradman (3)
Harvey (2)
Walters (1)
Smith (1)

So Smith would also equal Harvey's 2 if he was to make 4 centuries this series.

Am more concerned with him making 3 at this point.

And Steve Smith passes 2500 runs in Ashes.

Only Don Bradman, Allan Border, Steve Waugh, Clem Hill and Greg Chappell are ahead of him now.

Steve Smith now has 3184 runs @ 93.65 in the 1st innings of Tests.

Steve Smith (2615) needs 5 runs to go past Greg Chappell (2619) and 46 runs to go past Clem Hill (2660) in Ashes runs, which would place him 4th behind Bradman, Border and Steve Waugh.

Steve Smith (6788) needs 208 runs to equal Don Bradman (6996) and 212 runs to pass 7000 runs.

Steve Smith with 121 innings has 9 innings to score 212 runs to become the fastest ever to 7000 runs, beating Walter Hammond who did it in 131 innings.
