I see you like to tune in an hour before your fave programme starts so
What he saidRadio Five Live & Radio Four longwave are the two that get most use on my dial.
That doesn't have to be necessarily a bad idea, if done right. The local sports station in Dallas, The Ticket, has become one of the most successfull in the nation because they specialize in "guy talk". Sports topics are covered throughly, but in between are loads of discussion about girls, tv/movies, beer, bbq, traffic or whatever else is on the host's mind. Even politics is covered during election season. Makes for more interesting listening IMO. There's only so many hours I can devote to "who's the better running back in the NFL" type of segments.TalkSport must be the only sports station in the world that doesn't have any proper discussion about sport on it.
Amazing how much you can learn about the world just by listening to Five Live.. Glad I'm not the only one, apparently its the most popular radio station in the UK.. Can't believe it's more popular than Radio Chav (one)Just leave 5Live on all day tbh.
I can pretty much put down my pretty good range of words and vocab down to listening to 5Live and it has done so much good for me as far as understanding current affairs and politics and the like.Amazing how much you can learn about the world just by listening to Five Live..
