Half the town: 'No lynch!'
zorax: 'Milenko still hasn't checked in'
'No lynch.'

I'm starting to agree with AZH and you are all maf.

By my count we're just one short of hammering no lynch, can we give Milenko a chance to comment?

Bah. There is no evidence to suggest that maintaining the status quo is a better idea than blindly embarking on a reckless course of action.

The powercells, all four of them, kept humming and glowing non-stop since one of them exchanged hands to the Templar Grand Master with the Medallion. The humming got louder as the holders of the objects made their way to certain coordinates. After a long journey, the four keepers and unbeknownst to them, their comrades, scaled the heights of the Alborz mountains to reach their destination. The seat of the Assassins almost a millennium past, the legendary Alamut Castle was now in ruins. But unknown to many, it was built atop an Isu vault by the earliest of Assassins.

With all four powercells now at the vault for the first time in modern era, the door to the vault well.. powered up. But when nothing else happened, the Master Templar used the Medallion he found on his person when he was thrown into this world, and placed it in what seemed like a recess built for the trinket. The door to the vault immediately opened. What greeted them was a long corridor with unrecognizable language that lit their path towards a platform. As the keepers of the powercells approached the platform, a hologram appeared and introduced herself as Minerva, an Isu scientist.

Minerva explained to her inquisitive visitors that “this world is unimportant, it was created for one purpose only and that was for Juno, a rogue scientist of our kind, to use all of you to find Pieces of Eden (PoE) for her own means and a vessel to recreate herself”. Minerva continued “even your presence in this vault is part of Juno’s grand plan. One amongst you is already an Instrument of the First Will, a group of humans dedicated to bringing Juno to life. Allowing Juno to come back to life will be catastrophic for the human race, as she will use this mechanism to make you her vessel, Desmond.

"Built by those who knew to turn away from war. They worked to protect us – to save us from the fire. If you can find them... If their work can be saved... so too might this world."

As Desmond had his ‘oh shit’ moment, inside the simulation Minerva exposed the locations of the PoE to everyone with a warning that they could “help them achieve their goals or assure their destruction”. Chaos ensued as the keepers made a run for the items. Each grabbed one and ran out of the vault to get to their previous locations. Just outside the temple, a fight ensued between keepers and distrustful non-keepers that followed them there. Three of the keepers disappeared into the mountains with their items, but the last keeper had his item stolen as the thief overpowered him.

The PoE are now an integral part of the game. Those that have a PoE will get emails shortly regarding their new abilities for as long as they have a PoE. The use of the PoE have also made it difficult for everyone else to get information. As such for all night orders, starting N1, I will need 2 locations for where you think your target will be. Your orders will only carry through if one of the locations is correct for the stated target. I will let you know if at any point this condition does not apply to you.

The Alborz Mountains and Alamut Castle are in northern Iran. Not one of the 4 locations we can visit then.

So did the Templars (maf) visit this place and let loose the PoEs which are now in the hands of some people who will presumably drop them upon their deaths?

Cabinet also dropped something which Shri suggests might be powerful.

My thoughts:
-Seems there is one 3rd party player in the game
-What the Grand Master took from Cabinet wasn't itself a piece of Eden, but sounds like it made him one of 4 players who were just awarded a piece of Eden
-One of the 4 has already lost their piece to a thief (alignment unknown)
-The game is likely to get weirder.

I am most confident about the last point.

1) There are 4 'Powercells'
2) The write-up suggests that the Templar Grand Master got one of the Powercells from Cabinet after he killed him.
3) The Templar Grand Master also had a 'Medallion'.

My take away from this is that the Templar Grand Master finding one of the Powercells (thanks to killing Cabinet) has now triggered this part of the game, which has brought into existence a third-party called Instrument of the First Will.

One of these 4 Powercell holders has become the first member of this 3P. My guess is that this wouldn't be the Templar Grand Master? So means one of the 3 other people with Powercells is now 3rd Party. That means if someone here has the ability to find out who holds these cells, they will be key to identifying both the Templar Grand Master and the 3P leader. So that's a massively valuable role, if it exists.

4) All 4 Powercell holders got these new items - Pieces of Eden, AKA 'PoE' items. I don't know if they still have the Powercells, or if their powercell items got exchanged for the PoE items.
5) One of these guys got his PoE item stolen - suggests we have a thief in the game, as others have pointed out.

IDK if the Powercells still exist in the game or not, and if they do exist, if they have any further role to play.

4 PoE items - one in the hands of the Mafia, one in the hands of 3P, one in the hands of the Theif, and one in someone who is presumably Town.

I wonder if there are any other items in play? Or does the role of Thief only exists due to these 4 PoE items?

I'm also wondering of the game balance. 15 players. 1 is 3P. Of the remaining 14, are we looking at 10 Town and 4 Maf? With 1 Town already dead? Which means the balance right now could be 9-4-1.

Also wonder if the 3P will gain the ability to make night kills, or if they're a cult and can just recruit people each night.

Interesting game. Confusing game.

Oh and the writeup is vague on who got their item stolen - maybe the 3P leader or Maf grand master was the one who the thief robbed, in which case it might be worth the thief outing himself in order to help identify this person? Or maybe not worth the risk?
