'Ball-tampering players', indeed! Didn't these guys find any other term for their headline? It would almost appear that hey want this epithet to stick for ever.

'Mommy, who is that guy batting right now?'
'Oh! that is the ex/current-Australian captain. Scores a lot of runs and also cheats.'

5 wickets for Ishant in his first game. Even more surprising is the fact that he seems to be moving the ball again in this video clip of his wickets:
I mightn't be recalling correctly based on scrappy highlights, but didn't he bowl big inswingers in SA as well, at times?

Seems that Surrey are coveting Smith and Warner (if they don't get Kohli). Overseas berth when Elgar leaves, and couldn't Smith get in on a British passport? More overseas spots for the twenty20 also.

I cannot see much more activity from Durham now except perhaps a Twenty20 guy. Botham has also been more than vocal about the players who've departed (most of all P. Coughlin!).

The young fast bowlers of potential seem to be constantly injured. Fisher at Yorkshire, Mahmood Lancs, Stone had one good match and injured again, Barber, Garton, Overton. All with minor injuries currently.

Still good to see Brookes playing at Warwickshire today. Potts at Durham seemed pretty reasonable too. Depressing for kent that Podmore is in their team at the start of the season.

Hope to see young bats Banton and Bartlett make the breakthough this year at Somerset. Banton I feel will def get a go in the white ball formats.

Derbyshire with a pretty random attack. but could do well. Olivier, Rampaul, Vijoen+ Palladino.

Fairly sure Smith will be playing county cricket this season

Smith almost signed with them as a lad so there's a connection there, not sure if the ECB would like it though.
