*Official* New Zealand in England 2015

Nope, Santner looks a decent limited overs prospect, but neither his batting nor his bowling is good enough to justify a test call-up. If NZ were to go with 4 seamers (which they probably shouldn't) then they'd be better off picking a specialist bat at 6 and getting KW to bowl a few here and there.

At this point, if four seamers were picked, I'd rather have Craig batting seven and operating as the fifth bowler than Santner performing that same role. I like Santner, particularly as a one day cricketer, but he's not there yet.

Howsie is right about where ND bat him though.

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
Hamish made more than Latham. Hopefully weather permits a second dig
Commentators described his innings as 'very charmed'.

Nothing has changed then, Sigh.

Edit: they also said Latham looked very comfortable and easy at the crease. Still got a low score though.

Day 1 footage in the vault ftr, for those who know how to get in. Youtube not working for me atm.

Santner's knock did look like a bit of an irritating nightwatchman's effort. Beaten 10 times in 65 balls. Some great straight drives from him.

Santner was always just there to learn

This is what they're playing on. Which is confusing, because Taunton is usually an absolute road. What happens when a road is painted green for a couple of days?
Oh just saw this now. Absolute green top , no wonder they are 7 down.

Duck for Duffy - hope it is a bit better with the ball. Has Southland had a black cap since Jeff Wilson?

Will be interesting to see how Wags and Dougie go. I wonder if MH has been bowling much to Macca wirh the Duke over in the Chennai nets

VITSTL watching Ross in that footage, he has obviously been working very hard on his footwork and his balance. I would need to see him playing some defensive shots to fully comment but he has evolved since we last saw him in white clothes.

Yeah nah.
I'd definately take him over Chris Jordan, probably Woakes too. Given that England are searching high and low for a left armer at the moment he'd be a red hot chance. Perfect bowler for conditions over there too.

Wheeler gives up his first run off the bat, isn't very happy about it so takes his fourth wicket next ball

Wheeler 4/6 off 7 overs (including 5 maidens) ... meanwhile Bracewell 0-30 off 3 overs...
