i'm not sure about PS1 games. i think they're giving you the opportunity to be able to download some of the classic PS1 games, but there certainly won't be a great deal to chose from.

i'm pretty sure most if not all PS2 games can be played on the PS3.

scotty, fyi, a dear friend of mine has informed me that you cannot play any ps2 games on the ps3 40gb version, but most ps1 games can be played.

IIRC you can play most PS2 games on the PS3, and the ones you cant there are patches available to make them run. Havent read about the 40gb version though, so have no idea.

MGS3 Was probably the bet game I've played. It's a shame MGS4 shame, it is on ps3.
