imo he is pushing past 900 too fast in the official ratings.. he just got established, shouldn't be threatening all-time peaks yet.Smitteh back to the top with 936 points number 10 in the all time list. Interesting to note that he accumulated 35 points from this game and another performance like this and he could be passing Bradman's 961
Wait what do you mean shouldn't be? He is. There's no should or shouldn't involved here.imo he is pushing past 900 too fast in the official ratings.. he just got established, shouldn't be threatening all-time peaks yet.
It's an exponential requirement the higher the rating needs to go, isn't it? Would need an insane performance to push it over 961.Smitteh back to the top with 936 points number 10 in the all time list. Rubbish post. What the Indian batsman struggled with at Old Trafford (aside from good bowling) was the pace and bounce of the pitch. That's not a particularly usual characteristic of English pitches, and nor is it something the Aussies will find alien and struggle in.Aussies should be tested with some REAL English conditions. Like the one India had to tolerate last year in Manchester when they were 8/4 at one time.
Anyways, a very good cricket match at Lord's!
Aside from the fact that if they actually prepared the REAL pitches he is talking about, Haze and 3Mitches would have a field day.Rubbish post. Your idea of real has been seen only a handful of times in my years of watching cricket in England. When does it stop becoming real and start to become unusual?Aside from the fact that if they actually prepared the REAL pitches he is talking about, Haze and 3Mitches would have a field day.
guess it is. Another double would doIt's an exponential requirement the higher the rating needs to go, isn't it? Would need an insane performance to push it over 961.
wut?imo he is pushing past 900 too fast in the official ratings.. he just got established, shouldn't be threatening all-time peaks yet.
Yeah but Aust wont pile 600 and it would bring the game closerAside from the fact that if they actually prepared the REAL pitches he is talking about, Haze and 3Mitches would have a field day.
lrn2mathsSo, the combined total for the test is : Australia 820/10 and England 415/20
So, Aus got twice as many runs as England for half the wiickets lost. That's a mighty hammering.
The winning margin has only occurred in many years of playing cricket. But by the end of the series may have started to become usual.Your idea of real has been seen only a handful of times in my years of watching cricket in England. When does it stop becoming real and start to become unusual?
Thanks for that. The winning margin has only occurred in many years of playing cricket. But by the end of the series may have started to become usual.
I'm not being pedantic, you were wrong.stopbngpedntic
Is this how you do it?
He shouldn't be because the official rating system is flawed in that it doesn't discount new (29 tests is when you're just about settled) player performances enough.Wait what do you mean shouldn't be? He is. There's no should or shouldn't involved here.
Funny how you were moved enough to post about it.Funny how Hooksey suddenly remembered his password
Must have really picked up then because I thought the exact opposite in the times I've seen him bowl.Good enough to take the new ball for several countries. Bowls a heavy ball
