There's no one on the market at the moment that I'm thinking of buying. Unless Whitehorne takes a few wickets early on I think you'll win it.

Just lost Packer, but that's no biggie, decent start overall in my semi-final against Anchormen where I was put in to bat.

Wheat* 19 (15 balls)

I'd hope this is a low scoring pitch given how slowly I'm scoring against some dross.

Dillon* 12 (27 balls)
Tawanda 17 (23 balls)

Wasn't going to be much of a contest unless Ralph did something special really. McMillan going first ball wouldn't have helped 'tinho though.

Hmm... nibbs' gun bats Duggan and Morrison can only score 79 off the last 10 against two bowlers who are at best a low respectable and a low competent...

Yeah, wasn't expecting to win that being two bowlers short, but I probably would've lost anyway as it was a shocking batting effort. Was never going to win after Watkins went cheaply, well done nibbs.

Well done to winners, especially Nibbs.

Final: Scaly Piscine CC vs Whenuapai CC @ SPCCG

I will do a preview later tonight, unless someone else wants to do it for me.

well, i've challenged scaly.

can't really see a way through this match. although i've got the best batsmen of the two sides, scaly's bowling depth may get the better of my batsmen who do sometimes choke against bowling sides like this. again, scaly has got excellent depth in his batting, and my bowlers probably lack what will be needed to run through them. all i hope is that we don't get completely thrashed.

we're certainly lucky to be in the final this season. we have fallen behind the top 2-3 cricketweb sides in the last season or two, and i wouldn't be surprised if this is the last time we're in the final. i didn't expect to reach last season's final but the draw played out nicely, and this season we got lucky with adam timing his transfer market activity perfectly to allow us to sneak through to an easy win, that probably wouldn't have otherwise happened. its been an enjoyable run, but all good things have to come an end some day.

a tense final in the makings at the moment after graham left scaly piscine reeling at 3/1 after the opening over. they have recovered somewhat though.

End of Over 26: 100-6, runrate=3.85
Sweeney 8-0-26-0
Obrien* 30 (29 balls)
Appleby 6 (51 balls)

Last Wicket: Tawanda c. Wheat b. Lee 0 (FOW: 60/6)

EDIT: More wickets fall to Hamshaw and Sweeney.

End of Over 29: 105-8, runrate=3.62
Hamshaw 5-2-11-1
Obrien* 33 (35 balls)
Summers 0 (7 balls)

Last Wicket: Pace c. Lee b. Sweeney 1 (FOW: 104/8)
