Ishant has been bowling well enough but he is really going to struggle to get wickets bowling in the low 80's. He would be so much more threatening if he could get it up in the upper 80's. What is it with promising Indian fast bowlers slowing down and becoming increasingly toothless? Same thing happened with Munaf. Is it a matter of fitness or is it the advice they are getting? If the latter it's terrible advice; at the highest level line and length isn't enough, you need that extra yard of pace to trouble good batsmen in good batting conditions.

Super knock from Kallis

Long way to go but SA will never have a better chance to beat India from here

Damn, just woke up this morning and vaguely expected something better from India's bowlers. I know this is a day one pitch, but thought the spinners may have been able to pry one or two wickets. With Ishant, at reduced pace, against a Test quality nation, this could be a make-or-break series for him and he'll need some wickets, sharpish, to stave off the competition from Sreesanth, Mithun and Tyagi.

Just having a play with Cricinfo's Hawkeye feature, it is a tremendous addition to their website and really is entertaining to browse.

Kallis you are ****ing legend.
It is so frustrating at times, coz he has always been capable of batting at a decent speed but juz doesn't do it for some reason...

The RSA of the late 90s and the early noughties seriously SERIOUSLY needed a game breaking player and for some reason, Kallis never tried to be that. So much talent and yet doesn't always let it go... When in form, an awesome sight though... like today. :)

*Cue people talking about this being the match were Kallis finally breaks his double ton duck, before him getting randomly dismissed* :p

Did it Aus, smacked the crap out of Siddle (?) late in the day and turned the match on its head.

Well it's pretty much certain that he will get out within the first 10 overs of the first session tomorrow.
