Why do people still believe MSM?

I did not know that people thought Friedman was a monster. ITSTL.
Oh yeah he's a huge bogeyman for the left. I definitely don't hate all of his stuff but he's written his fair share of shite and if that shite conflicts with your beliefs it'll really get your back up.

My biggest gripe is that the MSM has turned the news headline into a mini-editorial.

Prior to Murdoch newspapers had two sections - news and editorial, and it was pretty obvious which was which. Therefore the reader could basically stick to the news, and occasionally read an editorial if inclined.

Now large swathes of editorial mascarade as 'news' with only one intention in mind - to increase market share by formulating, then manipulating, public opinion and emotion.

I would describe the MSM as self-serving propaganda machines. Which of course is why the neo-liberal agenda is so entrenched in Western society - it happens to suit the vested interests of big corporations and multi-national comglomerates.
