He fled the country before he could be tried for it. The allegations fell in the Paddy Jackson/Stuart Olding area where a court might not convict, but even the best-case scenario makes him a disgusting, horrifying creep.

That aside, however, his arrest is a terrible development for freedom of press/freedom of expression.

Not in court, but hiding in an embassy for 7 years to avoid trial isn't what I would expect an innocent man to do.
