Fuller is hands down the best OD batsman. Butler would've struggled if it weren't for Sean's awseomeness down the other end

Another magnificent chase from the Australians thwarted the efforts of Chris Butler, who had almost single-handedly boosted Cricket Web to a nigh-unassailable total. However, Australia showed the worth of deep batting, as it was ultimately Brad Haddin and James Hopes that took the game away from the Webheads.
Cricket Web struggled after being inserted, faltering to 60 for three after two wickets from Brett Lee and Cloete's feeble edge behind off Mitchell Johnson. However, another Butler-Fuller partnership - this time worth a mammoth 243 - ensured a hefty total. Butler was perhaps even more dominant than in the previous game, cutting expertly and sprinting like a demon, and the change bowlers were simply hapless. However, Australia responded with measured batting, though a hundred runs off the last ten overs looked a tad excessive when Michael Clarke hoiked Pickup to Stedman. In the next over, Pickup snared two more, and Australia had slipped to 238 for six.
However, the death bowling and fielding was not up to the task - too often, Australia were let aay with twos, and Brad Haddin and James Hopes stole a four-wicket win with two boundary thumps in the final over. It was a memorable end to a high-scoring game, though the bowling on offer, from both sides, was questionable.

Butler playing like a beast out there. Not enough support in the field though.
Incidentally, that's my third score in the 90s in as many games. Both the ODIs and also the domestic one dayer in between. Weird.

Not worst performance ever, with some more luck with the ball we might have won that. Nice to see Fuller and Bulter stepping up with the bat, especially Fuller.

A feeble effort from Cricket Web XI saw them falter to a 21-run defeat at the CW Oval, despite a third hundred from the early candidate for Man of the Series, Chris Butler. Ultimately, however, not even a strike rate of 129 was enough to take on the target of 291.
Earlier, Younus Khan had given Pakistan a fighting chance with a surprisingly enterprising innings, coming in immediately after the team brace of Salman and Kamran - with Sriram's first international wicket being a return catch from Kamran. However, Cricket Web failed to apply the pressure, as Younus and Shoaib Malik scored 91 for the third wicket with ease.
Pickup struck twice in the 29th over to keep his average down, but Cricket Web had little to offer in the way of bowling threat, and when Sriram bowled out by being hit for four and six by Arafat, Pakistan rammed loose. Arafat slaughtered Gough and Clapham, before eventually being trapped lbw after a 27-ball fifty, but Iftikhar Anjum continued in the same vein - six balls, six fours. Pakistan exploded to 291 for six, a solid total.
Chaulk, Stedman and Cloete struggled through the powerplays, as Gul, Akhtar and Iftikhar used the overhead conditions and the white ball to swing things Pakistan's way. When Chaulk was caught by Salman for 30, Cricket Web were at a measly 60 for two, with just 32 overs remaining.
Butler raced to fifty in 34 balls, but at the other end, Cloete was unable to keep the momentum going. Ajmal was the pick of the change bowlers, completing 10 overs of handy leg-spin without a wicket, and with only four coming off his last - to leave Cricket Web with 60 runs needed off the last 30 balls. With better fielding from Pakistan, that was impossible, and the Webheads go into the final game uncertain of whether they will make the final of their own Trophy.
