Um, Taylor made 98 runs. How about the fact that that is an excellent achievement rather than focusing on an arbitrary figure that does **** all.
Indeed. England currently have the second-top run-scorer and equal leading wicket-taker in the tournament.

Went to the game as well, just watching the replay now. A few things:

Woakes slower short ball isn't slow enough, needs top spin on it rather than cutting down the side of the ball, because it has to get stuck in the wicket. His skid through, like a slider, and so the batsman can still continue his natural action. The best exponents of it force the batsman to have to hold onto their swing for an extra second.

Bowling to Haddin with four men out on the legside was one of the worst pieces of captaincy we'll see all tournament.

Umpires were very poor with the bouncer rule, there was three times where a bowler closed their over with a ball over shoulder height, when there had already been one that over, and should have been called a no-ball.

It's like they'd completely forgotten everything they'd ever seen about Haddin in one-dayers. So weird.

They did make it two bouncers.

Spinners really got the biggest shaft in the rule change. No old ball to work with and less fielders.
