Smith needs 188 runs to reach 2500 Ashes runs. This would place him 6th all-time for Australia, passing Harvey, Ponting and Taylor.

Broad about to go past some big names in most Ashes wickets for England.

3. Rhodes (109)
4. Barnes (106)
5. Bedser (104)
6. Anderson (104)
7. Broad (102)

Broad’s got Warner 3 out of 29 balls, making his strike rate against him 9.67 (overall against Warner it’s 33).

Took a quick look at my H2H spreadsheet and other notable highlights (min 3 wickets are)

Flintoff v Ponting 22.12
Ali v Starc 12.00
Lyon v Root 98.11
Anderson v Smith 112.21

So Lyon is going to become the 3rd highest wkt taker for Australia tomorrow when he takes his first wicket of England innings :)

Everything Labuschagne has done will go down in history as a first and that can’t be broken. Whatever runs he makes could stand as a highest score for a very long time.

Yes, Bancroft now has the lowest average of any Aussie opener since 1893 that played 10 tests or more...
That's because he's not very good.

To be fair to him, he's done the Mitch Marsh thing where he gets the selectors interested by playing these crazy innings against our number 1 bowling attack and then looks like a deer caught in headlights when he's actually given a run. Should have his cards marked now though.

Marnus Labuschagne has an interesting list of events/achievements

- First cricketer to bat due to the concussion substitute rule
- Matador Cup player of the tournament (where he finished outside the top 8 runscorers and was a weird choice)
- First Oz domestic player to give away penalty runs for fake fielding
- That terrible run out in the UAE
