Coming to London 21-28 August

Taking a vacation by myself to London in late August. Anyone based around there and wanna meet for a few pints? I'm also looking to nerd out and go to some Antique cricket bookstores or specialist secondhand bookstores. Any recommendations?

Also, is there any chance I can get tickets for the Oval Ashes test and/or Arsenal vs. Liverpool?

I want to make some day trips outside of London. Any suggestions? A place I can go to for one day and come back to the hotel in London at night.

Could easily get to Cambridge or Brighton and back in a day. Both quite nice days out.

Cambridge and Oxford and the Cotswolds. The Cotswolds are probably what most outsider imagined the charming English countryside to be while growing up.

John McKenzie's shop is in Ewell near Epsom, huge stock of cricket books but not for the faint walleted

Tickets for either of those are probably not available anymore at face value, but probably will be for the right price.
