Set up stumps in the backyard and aim to hit the base of them. Did that a lot as a kid.

Yeah, I could skate quite decently as a kid, though I haven't tried the quad skates in many, many years. I tried a bit of inline skating recently, but it's so hard to stop, and balance, and not get tripped up by the tiniest irregularity on the road.
