With Afghanistan, it always looks as if a collapse is imminent. Hopefully, Afghanistan can put up a decent total an give South Africa a fright.

This is the brand new batting strategy by Afghanistan: leave as many balls as possible.

Pretty impressive figures there for Tahir and Morris. SA to get off the mark, then.

Afghanistan would be a legitimately good team if they're batting was even close to an acceptable standard.
They desperately need a couple of players who know how to work singles around and build an innings. Doesn’t need to be world beaters, a Kyle Coetzer or Haris Sohail would make a huge difference.

They make Pakistan look like a bunch of steady Eddies. So collapse prone. Still feel they'll probably put in one big performance in the tournament and kill the semifinal chances of one of the big names.

Batting is dismal, not sure they are much better than what Ireland offer from 1-7 tbh.

Tbh, the way Afghanistan have been playing in this tournament isn't a good advert for the inclusion of associate nations. They've been a bit of a shambles

Such an under rated skill in this era of swinging from ball one. And not just in ODIs. Lack of strike rotation went a long way to losing Australia the test series vs India recently.

Afghanistan aren't an Associate, and lost to 2 Associates on their way to qualifying for this WC
