What happened to your idea that you should have a 5th bowler in the XI that you will back to bowl 10 overs even if who you pick as 5th may not be one of the top 5 bowlers at your disposal. :p
That's when you're picking from a full complement of a nation's players to play against an equivalent team. Much as Tendulkar bowling ten overs against Parramatta C Grade would be fine, his stock as a bowler is less bad in the context of this. Also, there legitimately are bowlers with better batting averages than him lol.

Also: fine and good are not the same.

And if no one else joins him there he will have uninterrupted access to the best bats for a few rounds.
