Eager to make some more runs... would be nice to have one of myself or Dasa (or both!) going on to make an unbeaten ton, hopefully this game will have that.
Aiming for 201-0 (50 overs)? :p

Disapointed to be sitting out. However I understand the policy and wish the boys all the luck in notching up a convincing win.

Zimbabwe vs Cricket Web XI
4th ODI - Pickford Reserve

Scorecard
Commentary

In what was perhaps their most lacklustre showing of the series, the Cricket Web XI squeezed past an impressive Zimbabwe by 26 runs. The Webheads were inserted, but could manage only 235-5 on a slow surface, before struggling to break the Zimbabwean batting lineup as they got to 209-5.

Edward Rainsford and Anthony Ireland set the pace with sharp seam bowling first up. Though Aranuva Das and Sean Fuller each registered their maiden ODI half-centuries, the CW XI were never truly on top. Fuller pressed on to an unbeaten 103 from 145 balls, but failed to accelerate effectively on a pitch that presented difficulties in timing.

Zimbabwe then followed up an impressive bowling performance with a superb start to their innings, posting a record 131 for the first wicket against some truly indifferent seam bowling. Fuller and Halsey were the clear standouts in the attack, as the bowlers largely struggled to keep a consistent line and length, instead being suckered in short bowling despite the slow nature of the pitch.

Openers Mufambisi and Sibanda got past 50, but like their hosts earlier, they failed to pick up the tempo sufficiently to mount a genuine challenge on the total. Strydom struck a couple of hearty blows toward the end, but it was a bit too little too late.

Cricket Web XI 235-5 (50 overs)
SE Fuller 103*, AS Das 54; EC Rainsford 1-33
Zimbabwe 209-5 (50 overs)
V Sibanda 73, TV Mufambisi 69; DJ Watt 2-45

Cricket Web XI won by 26 runs.

Fuller is very deserving of MotM, he bowled ten very tight overs to go along with his unbeaten century. Bit worrying that we aren't beating Zimbabwe very convincingly, I'm sure the team will be able to step it up when it counts.

Great match from Fuller, Halsey and Watt bowled solidly too, the rest of the side was a little average though - fire up guys, hammer them into ground :)

A bit too close for comfort there...nice stuff from Fuller to set up the win, shame I couldn't go on with it.

Bit of a relief to make some runs after three failures in the series. Wasn't the most fluent innings though, and we really should have made 250+.

Hopefully we can win the last one a bit more convincingly.
