Olympics - does anyone actually care anymore?

Nah he was always a sprinter, though he started out running the 200m and 400m, before deciding to concentrate only on the shortest sprints.

Amazing that he smashed all those records given how shocking his sprinting technique was. Remember Michael Johnson saying that Bolt could run a 9.4 if he ever could've fixed his form.

It's a record that might stand for a while if they crack down on the doping - they are allegedly at least as bad as the Russians
I dunno. In Kenya doping thrives to the extent it had cos of government incompetence allowing it to go unpunished. Its not like in Russia where it thrives as part of the government's 'un'official policy for sports.

I read that as "Rio Olympics 2016: No water, refreshments, head given as Indian runner OP Jaisha suffers through the marathon" and thought "that might be expecting a bit too much".

I tried not to care about the Olympics...but then I turned on the women's volleyball, the women's high jump, the women's long jump, the women's water polo, even the women's 100/200m sprints were worth a look. The only downside is I picked up 'tennis elbow' somewhere over the 16 day period.

You didn't mention the swimming and the diving. Swimmers' bodies are the absolute peak of the human form.

I should have just said all events apart from women's weightlifting (although it's funny when they keep talking about 'the snatch'), and a few of the athletics events.
