All that recent ODI results have told me is that WI have joined the pack of competitive mid-tier teams, and will likely be scrapping over two semi final spots with NZ, Aus, SA & Pakistan.
NZ probably a clear third at the moment though.

Don't think there's enough evidence for that - recently lost to India who are clearly better, and beat SL and Bang who are clearly worse. Haven't played any of the similar-level teams lately apart from Pakistan in the UAE late last year which ended 1-1.

No game will live up to the quality of the last final played in England - the final that gave the victor the right to play Pakistan in the semi. The final that is written in folk lore as the greatest ODI of all time, in spite of the fact that there were barely 400 runs scored in the match. The final that broke South Africa despite ending in a tie.

And the second greatest ODI happened in their super six encounter the match before lol. What a cup.
