Good for him. Equal wins, 2/3rds of the cricketer and 1/3810th of the human being that TOTAB is.

What makes Border such a great human being? Was/Is he like a humanitarian or something?

AB was the epitome of what an Australian male should be. Sincere, good natured but assertive, not full of himself, aware of his limitations but made the most of his skills, humble without being vacuous, a team man and a union man.

Can Kohli win another 22 Tests as captain? That would make him the most successful captain ever.

Border had an influence beyond his years in captaincy. It’s the reason for the AB medal and his general idol status here in Oz and in some areas of the world. At this stage Kohli hasn’t got that level that will go beyond for decades afterwards.

Bit of a dick if the raining rupees story is to be believed

This record crept up out of nowhere. He's going to take it unless something drastic happens to India. He's ticking along at Ponting rates of success too, so it probably wont be too long either.

All special cricketers equal mere mortals at some point of time before going on to achieve something special.

Nothing there to stop him tbh. India will continue to dominate at home and will dominate away to SL and WI. Away to Australia and RSA are probably toss ups atm and they'll definitely be competitive in NZ and Eng. So unless India does a 180 or Kohli's form does a spectacular nose dive, the record is his for the taking.

Always hard to judge these things as win percentages are only a small part of the story, but he's a good Test captain as far as I can tell. He demands high standards, leads by example, and I haven't seen him lose control of matches on the field (it's happened in limited overs matches), though, obviously, having a quality attack helps.

Most importantly, he does deserve some share of the credit for India's pace attack coming on leaps and bounds over the last few years.
