Says the plight of Sri Lanka that no one has voted for them so far in a poll for contest vs Bangladesh. Fallen big time and it is a pity.

Haven't followed SL team news much recently. Why is Gunaratne not in team? He is a useful allrounder, right?

Hard to be excited about this one as a neutral, given it feels meaningless with both teams effectively having no chance of making the play-offs.

I'm not writing off Bangladesh entirely yet. I guess their bowling realistically isn't good enough regardless of their results so far but losing to England and NZ isn't a death sentence. If they drop a point here due to the weather it'll be very hard for them though.

Bangladesh showed some decent fight in both their losses. Too early to write off their chances given the teams they've lost to.

The weather at the moment is shocking, even by UK summer standards. A big depression hanging over the country and refusing to budge. Not much will change for the next 10 days or so by the looks of it. I optimistically bought a new bbq over a week ago, and it's still unboxed.

Hampshire's county championship match at Nottinghamshire has already been called off for the day - one hour before it was scheduled to start!!

universally panned SL side to make the semis on the back of 6 rain-outs and one timely win against India in July - yhihf
