Yeah gayle has bossed it, but I wouldn't be keen on England's batting escaping with no criticism, the openers especially Roy let the side down by going to slow. Roy especially has been picked to go hard and we are getting to many slow innings from him, its not acceptable whatsoever.
Have to agree. They seemed to be too content with a par score...............and as the batting is supposed to run right down until number 10, you have to wonder why they didn't go harder early and were still plodding along around 14-16 overs when only a few wickets were down.

Bats at 10 which is stupidly low

Apart from Topley, no rabbits in this England batting line up which makes the lack or urgency at the beginning and towards the end so absurd.
Didn't he open for Northants in T20 Blast?

He does, and I would suggest that seeing as his batting is helping him get in the side he either needs to do that in T20s or GTFO as he isn't used to coming in at the end and his bowling doesn't seem good enough either.

You just can't have two openers getting starts and finishing with 43 off 41 balls. 43-2 off 6.5 overs is poor on a flat pitch. The opening batsmen are massively important and need to be capable of playing big innings. Hales is, Roy just seems a russian roulette batsman and not a very good one.

Moeen or Root need to open.

Bats largely did their job, maybe 10 short but bowling just destroyed by Gayle. It can happen, can't really get to down on them.
