It's amazing how all the people on social media who are virus experts are now racism and police brutality experts as well. Truly gifted individuals.

These are definitely worse, but there is a knack to this as well in my experienceIts the cover letter that causes me all the frustration...
Yeah it's aggravation, but ultimately pretty brainless after a while. You can do most of those forms on auto-pilot. It's just the personal statement/cover letter than requires any tailoring most of the time. What shits me is how for each application you have to create an account and enter the same information in over and over again in one of those platforms like taleo. Too bad it more or less has to be done.
I do this but am horrible about backing things up. So when my laptop crashed I lost my most current copy and had to start over from 4 years ago.I tend to update mine periodically, every time I have something new to add to it. Saves a lot of aggravation.
I have three versions based on whether I`m applying for overseas or local, and actually within my actual specialised skill set or just a 'generic' job. Unfortunately not having any relevant job experience sucks so cover letter becomes real important. These are definitely worse, but there is a knack to this as well in my experience
This is where my ineptness becomes even more apparent. The only laptops I've had for the last decade are the ones provided by work, and they provide two methods of backing up files. A network drive assigned to me and OneDrive by Microsoft. I still kept many files on my desktop for easy access and never bothered finishing setting up OneDrive. So when my last laptop crashed I lost files 10 years old that I had simply forgotten to backup and/or forgotten to setup the autobackup option that was provided to me at no cost.Ha, oh no, that sucks. Why not install something like Drop Box so that backups occur automatically?
I have a habit of occasionally just emailing myself important documents. That way you have a copy both as a sender and a receiver. This is where my ineptness becomes even more apparent. I eventually found a copy of my resume I had emailed my previous manager for review from 2016. I literally had to forgo talking to someone regarding a potential executive level position because I cbf updating all of the missing pieces in a short amount of time. I mean, **** moving to Kentucky anyway but that's a piss poor reason not to pursue an opportunity.
Oh I did that as well... back in 2016.I have a habit of occasionally just emailing myself important documents. That way you have a copy both as a sender and a receiver.
