Preston Jacobs - His theory videos on ASOIAF are excellent. He takes an apparent fact from the books (Ramsey sent the threatening Pink Letter to Jon Snow at the end of the fifth book, for example) and disproves it based on the source material. He also does excellent voice acting for the various characters in the books. There’s a very Agatha Christie feel to his stuff when he’s proving his theories. His ‘Prepping for Winter’ videos where he methodically analyses the released chapters of the sixth book are also excellent. By far the best ASOIAF channel and should be more popular. The Pink Letter mystery : https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=jwcuRwod0Xg

Fredrik Knudsen - Deep dives into the weirdest, usually inconsequential people/events done with a lot of love and care, avoiding any moralising. He does both weird internet **** and real events. His video on Furries: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=8aF2GxWi7Ag and the Mouse Utopia Experiments: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=NgGLFozNM2o are both great.

Couldn't stand Jacobs personally. A bucketload of nonsense, which would be okay if it wasn't also horribly pretentious.

I’m a sucker for eloborate conspiracy/mystery stuff tbh even in cases I seriously doubt the validity of the claims.

watched a lot of cinemawins on the weekend. nice and wholesome. also a lot of star wars youtubers since i've been rewatching the movies for the first time in years.

a selection of what i watch

many a true nerd (gaming)
hello future me (story/worldbuilding analysis)
jangbricks (lego set reviews for childhood nostalgia drooling)
shadiversity (medieval history/story analysis)
sam bur (city skylines. he sounds like spark and i would be suspicious but he's a town planner).
jim sterling (video game reviews and industry sprays. weird bloke, but knows his topics and is funny).
the spiffing brit (breaking and exploiting video games)
beyond the brick (childhood lego envy at what people build in their spare time)
kings and generals (history)
invicta (history)
lindybeige (a very entertaining and well researched history guy, but then i saw his climate change stuff and rip credibility)
squidge rugby (rugby and interesting, though i don't always agree with him. he's very northern hemisphere)
